The Askar 160 APO is another edition to Askar’s apochromatic refractor telescope lineup designed to excel in both astrophotography and visual observation. Askar 160 APOThe Askar 160 APO has a triplet air-spaced lens design, incorporating extra-low dispersion (ED) glass to significantly reduce chromatic aberration. This advanced design ensures outstanding color correction, making it an excellent choice for astrophotographers who require precise color accuracy in their images as well as excellent views behind the eyepiece.

A unique feature of the Askar 160 APO is its retractable rear tube section, which extends up to 4.5 inches. This adjustability enhances compatibility with various accessories, including binoviewers, and helps achieve optimal focus across different imaging configurations. It includes clearly printed indicators ahead of the ring to show the lock and unlock directions, ensuring intuitive operation. Additionally, the silver knobs are designed for easy control, making it simple to loosen or securely tighten the large ring with ease. This innovative design allows the Askar 160 APO to collapse down to 34.8 inches, enhancing portability and simplifying both handling and storage.

The telescope also features a beefy 3.5-inch rack-and-pinion dual-speed focuser, offering smooth and precise focusing control. Additionally, it is EAF-compatible, allowing for seamless integration with electronic autofocus systems.

The Askar 160 APO includes durable tube rings and a 15.7-inch D-style dovetail bar, ensuring stability across a variety of mounts. A 12.4-inch top handle, equipped with an accessory slot, enhances portability and customization options. To further protect the instrument, the Askar 160APO comes with a sturdy aluminum hard case, ensuring safe storage and transport.
