Antlia ALP-T dual band 5nm Ha&OIII Filter

The Svbony SV230 Super Zoom Aspheric Eyepiece is a unique eyepiece featuring a clickstop click and Parfocal design and the 57°-72° panoramic wide angle provides the ultimate astronomical observation comfort. It also supports astigmatic corrector connection and has a long eye relief of 17-19mm for comfortable viewing position, even for eyeglass wearers.  It can be used during the day and in the night sky providing excellent resolution and contrast values as well as a sharp image at a large apparent field of view. Observing planets with SV230 eyepiece is highly convenient, as it allows for clear and undistorted images without any edge distortion.

Svbony SV230 Super Zoom Aspheric EyepieceAs the Svbony team notes, “To ensure a balanced performance between the two key parameters of field of view and zoom ratio, multiple simulations were conducted using the optical design software ZeMax to find the optimal design balance. However, due to the complexity of optical structure design, entering each variable requires waiting for several hours to obtain calculation results. (This design process took several months.)”

They continued, “The greatest challenge faced in the optical design of the Svbony SV230 Super Zoom Aspheric Eyepiece was the historical issue of narrow fields of view at low magnifications. This zoom eyepiece was designed to provide excellent imaging while achieving a field of view of 57 degrees at low magnification and 72 degrees at high magnification, with a zoom ratio of 2.5x.”

They also noted, “The effective aperture of the SV230 Superzoom eyepiece is 23mm, which is the maximum structural design size for a 1.25-inch eyepiece. At the same time, considering that some customers use binocular devices, we kept the overall field size within 60mm. However, since the maximum outer dimensions of the lens are around 58mm, our eyepiece bodies adopt a thin-wall design, which places higher demands on the metal processing and coaxiality of the barrel. Achieving this thin design without deforming the barrel during manufacturing is a significant challenge.”

The Svbony SV230 Super Zoom Aspheric Eyepiece is constructed using the highest grade of multi-element aspheric and special optical glass, featuring a 6-group, 9-element optical design. The eyepiece offers a built-in flat field lens and has a zoom range of 8mm to 20mm, providing versatility for various observing conditions. The zoom ratio of 2.5x offers a smooth transition between magnifications. It offers an impressive wide-angle field ranging from 57 degrees to 72 degrees and comfortable long eye relief between 17mm and 19mm.
