ZWO ASI2600MC Air

The new ZWO ASI2600MC Air offers the best aspects of popular ZWO products including the ZWO ASI2600MC Duo and ZWO ASIAir providing a wireless smart camera and guider all in one. The ZWO ASI2600MC Air takes multiple ZWO innovations and combines them into one streamlined package eliminating complicated cable management and offering multi-instrument functionality.

ZWO ASI2600MC AirThe ZWO ASI2600MC Air main imaging sensor (industrial grade Sony IMX571 chip) and guide sensor (SC2210 guide sensor) are connected directly to the internal ASIAir. The IMX571 features an APS-C format and 26MP total pixels. The size is 23.5mm in width x 15.7mm in height, and the diagonal is 28.3mm.

The 3.76um x 3.76um pixel size accommodates a full depth of 50ke. In expanded mode, the full well capacity of the camera reaches 73Ke, which is 1.46 times of that of the IMX571 sensor (51ke), making long-exposure shots less prone to overexposure. The SC2210 sensor offers high sensitivity as the QE peak value reaches 92% at 500nm. The read noise is as low as 0.6e.

The ZWO ASI2600MC-Air supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Wi-Fi 33 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz offer the functionality for long range connectivity or maximum throughput. The functionality also supports a variety of Wi-Fi control solutions which can be controlled through a mobile device. The ASIAir app for the full ASIAir suite of features is available but users can also work wirelessly from a PC when using the free ZWO ASIStudio imaging program suite or through ASCOM Alpaca for control through 3rd party imaging programs like NINA. The integrated Bluetooth simplifies mount control of ZWO mounts as well as third party mounts.

External storage options up to 1TB are supported, as well as ZWO accessories including filter wheels and EAF through the powered four port USB 2.0 hub built into the back of the camera. Three 12V DC 5.5×2.1 mm power ports are also included, with each serving as an input/output to supply power to the device and two other powered accessories in any cable configuration. A USB-C port facilitates data transfer to a PC for post-processing.
