iOptron HAE43 and HAE43EC SWG Mounts

The iOptron HAE43 and HAE43EC SWG Mounts have received an upgrade to the latest technology with new “C” internal board versions which eliminate the need for a handset.

iOptron HAE43 and HAE43EC SWG MountsAs noted by the iOptron team, “Keeping pace with the current rapidly developing technology environment, the iOptron HAE43 and HAE43EC SWG mounts have evolved into the new “C” internal board versions. Now all HAE dual SWG Alt-Az/ Eq mounts now have an internal main board and no longer requires use with a handset.”

An iOptron HAE mount can be controlled by a computer via the USB-C port on the mount base, either via ASCOM/Commander for a Windows PC or a third-party INDI driver for a Mac OS software. It can also be operated with full GoTo function from the optional 8411 handset.

The iOptron iOptron HAE43 and HAE43EC SWG Mounts are members of the wide ranging iOptron strain wave gear mount family. Their AZ/EQ dual mount setup offers light weight, compact, medium payload mounts that will deliver a new level of astronomy experience with a mount head weighing in at 12lbs with a payload capability of 43lbs, without needing a counterweight or shaft.

Utilizing state of the art strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movement, the iOptron HAE43 Mounts deliver unparalleled weight to payload efficiency. Offering a black anodized all metal CNC machined body is not only appealing to the eye, the iOptron HAE43 and HAE43EC SWG Mounts offer a rugged platform that will perform at the highest level for many years to come. Unique features such as an electronic friction break and power down memory allow the mount to safely stop and resume a GoTo slew or continue tracking even after an abrupt power loss (No need to realign and start from the beginning).

The HAE43EC features a high precision RA axis encoder that delivers incredible tracking accuracy, enough that many will choose to image “sans” guiding.
