The QHY Liquid Cooling kit is a unique and non-traditional way to achieve cooling for QHY cameras. Instead of relying on fans, this kit employs liquid cooling to maintain optimal operating temperatures for QHYCCD astronomical and scientific cameras.
There are many benefits of liquid cooling. It is more efficient than air cooling and, when using ambient temperature water for water cooling, the maximum cooling temperature can be up to 10 degrees Celsius lower than that when using air cooling alone. And liquid cooling systems are inherently vibration-free, which is crucial for sensitive imaging cameras. As an example, the liquid-cooled version of the QHY990Pro II camera can achieve temperatures as low as -60 to -80 degrees Celsius below ambient.
