The Rouz Astro Sidewinder Auxiliary Rings are made of lightweight carbon fiber composite that allow the user to attach a host of accessories. While these are built to offer a sturdy carrying point for accessories, they are not meant to be used as tube rings to carry a telescope. They offer a great way to carry mini-pcs, power hubs and more.
The rings can use the single ring or dual ring setup. Each ring has 5x attachment points that will accept female finder shoe (standard Synta) and dovetail bars. They are made with engineering grade material offering a composite of polymers and carbon fiber which are fused at high temperatures over 500 deg F (no glue or epoxy is used). All bolts are threaded into stainless-steel nuts.
The Rouz Astro Sidewinder Auxiliary Rings specifications include:
– Thread Size: M6
– 5 x Implanted stainless steel threads
– Material: Carbon Fiber composite – FDM Print
– Weight per ring: 70 to 200 grams per ring (depending on size)
– High UV, water, and temperature resistance up to 60 deg C (140F)
