DeepSkyStacker Update 5.1.0

The latest version of the DeepSkyStacker update 5.1.0 is now available after beta testing version 5.0. As the publisher notes, “This release is the start of the process of converting the code to Qt so that it can be ported to platforms other than Windows. Only 64 bit versions of Windows 7 and later are supported in this release. So far, the majority of the code for the stacking panel has been converted to use Qt.”

DeepSkyStacker Update 5.1.0DeepSkyStacker is a freeware for astrophotographers that makes it easier to manage the pre-processing steps of deep sky imaging. It simplifies registering, stacking, post processing and saving the resulting image.

After an imaging session DeepSkyStacker takes your images (light frames, darks frames, offset/bias frames, flat frames) and prepares them for post-processing. DeepSkyStacker Live provides the ability to oversee the result of an ongoing imaging session being created as the images are downloaded from the imaging camera.

The program is meant to be used with post processing software such as PixInsight and does not provide post processing features. The DeepSkyStacker Update 5.1.0 release information is available on Github.
