The Founder Optics Bino-One 72 is a spotting scope with a divergent binoviewer with two 72mm eyepieces designed for 3D views.
The innovative, built-in binocular viewer includes two 12.5 mm eyepieces that provide 35X magnification. And the design provides the opportunity to simply switch to different eyepieces for a change in magnification. The Bino-One 72 offers a large 72 mm aperture for bright views during the day and nice light-gathering at night. The ED (extra-low dispersion) lens is made from Ohara FPL-53 glass, resulting in sharp images with virtually zero distortion and very low chromatic aberration.
The Founder Optics Bino-One 72 comes with two 12.5 mm long eye relief (20 mm) 1.25″ eyepieces. The lenses are fully multi-coated and install easily into the binoviewer with twist lock collars. You can set the distance between the two eyepieces by sliding the interpupillary distance scale up or down until you find the spacing that is most comfortable. The scale runs from 58 mm to 74 mm and is conveniently located between the eyepieces on the binoviewer body.
The diopter focusing ring, with its + and – markings, makes adjustments easy until the image is sharp. The green collar that connects the binoviewer to the spotting scope can be loosened, allowing the ability to rotate the eyepieces for the most comfortable viewing. This is especially convenient when doing astronomy and the scope is pointing up near the zenith.
The Founder Optics Bino-One 72 can be attached to either a tripod (via a 1/4-20 threaded hole) or to an alt-azimuth or equatorial mount via the included Vixen-Style Dovetail plate. The Bino-One includes an attached lens cap and comes in its own hard carry case for protection for storage or travel. Custom cut foam snuggles the binoviewer and eyepieces attached and there is room for more eyepieces.
