SVBONY SV215 Zoom Eyepiece

New SVBONY Accessories
SVBONY SV215

The SVBONY SV215 is a 1.25″ 3mm-8mm planetary zoom eyepiece for high power lunar and planetary observing.

This zoom eyepiece is designed to provide the best balance of contrast, comfortable eye relief, and resolution for the critical planetary observer, particularly those with ultra-premium short focal length refractors. It offers 6-Element/4-Groups and fully multi-coated optics for remarkable sharpness, contrast and color correction. It also incorporates a fold-down rubber eyeguard and a rubber grip ring.

The apparent field of view and the usable eye relief to stay the same as the focal length changes.  It provides smooth zoom action with click-stops at 3, 4, 5, 6,7 and 8mm for quick changes to precise preset magnifications.

SVBONY SV216 Barlow

Another of the new SVBONY accessories is the SVBONY SV216 which offers a 1.25″ 2X 4-Element Barlow lens for imaging and visual applications. This Barlow offers generous eye relief of the lower power eyepiece, especially for eyeglass wearers or for those with fast telescopes and, as the distance is changed, the magnification remains the same. Users can place the Barlow anywhere along the optical chain between an eyepiece or a camera.

The insert barrel of each extender is double-tapered to allow smooth insertion to, and removal from, a telescope’s eyepiece holder, focuser or diagonal. The wide dimension of the taper helps prevent the focal extender from falling out of the telescope should the set-screw holding it in place become loose. The Barlow lens has a compression ring that doesn’t leave any marks on cameras or eyepieces.

The SV213 1.25″ 3xBarlow lens is an air-spaced, fully multi-coated 3-Element, apochromatic design. The housing is precision machined from aluminum stock and black anodized to a hard finish. The lenses are edge-blackened to eliminate internal light scatter to maximize image contrast.

SVBONY SV213

The SVBONY SV213 incorporates a 1.25″ 3x Barlow for planetary/lunar imaging and visual observing with a lens that is an air-spaced, fully multi-coated 3-Element, apochromatic design.

Like the SVBONY SV216 Barlow, the housing is precision machined from aluminum stock and black anodized to a hard finish and the lenses are edge-blackened to eliminate internal light scatter to maximize image contrast. It provides excellent control of chromatic and spherical aberration and a flatter field-of-view compared to standard Barlows.
