nPAE has announced the upcoming availability of its new nPAE 6 x 2-inch Eyepiece Turret.
The turret incorporates aircraft design engineering with 5 axis CNC machining. Made from 6083 aluminum, the turret offers high tensile strength, high durability, anti-corrosion, dimensional accuracy and fine surface finish. The interlocking bezel halves allow fully integrated locks and the ability to open up the Turret to facilitate easy cleaning of the mirror.
The pre-production nPAE 6 x 2-inch Eyepiece Turret specifications include:
– 6 x 2” parfocal eyepiece sockets with twin point locking compression bands
– 1/10th wave aluminized mirror with Zygo report
– 5 axis CNC machining throughout in 6083 aircraft grade aluminum
– 2” nose (threaded for a second filter)
– nPAE 2” front filter slider
– Bezel torque control
– Estimated weight 2.4 kg / 5.3 lbs
– Estimated Back focus 152mm
