William Optics RedCat 51 ZWO EAF Mount BracketJoel Short, an astroimaging enthusiast located in Northern Indiana, opened the Buckeyestargazer Shop to make available items he has developed to offer affordable and uncomplicated accessories. As Short comments, “These are simple and practical items that I have found to be essential for amateur astronomers.” New products now available from the Buckeyestargazer Shop include:

The Buckeyestargazer Shop William Optics RedCat 51 ZWO EAF Mount Bracket provides a bracket which allows the use of a ZWO EAF Focuser on the RedCat 51. As Short notes, “The William Optics Redcat scopes have become very popular for good reasons – a large, flat field in a compact scope without the use of an additional flattener.  I have personally used the RedCat 51 with an ASI6200MM full frame camera, and although the stars in the corners weren’t absolutely perfect it was very good for such a wide field of view.”

The bracket allows users to take advantage of the belt driven system which results in zero additional backlash (other than what is present in the EAF itself).  There is a Synta style saddle/shoe on the opposite side of the EAF for mounting additional accessories like a Pegasus Powerbox or ZWO ASIAIR. All mounting hardware is included and installation instructions are provided.

The bracket can be mounted with or without the top handle and different length mounting screws are provided. The design also allows the bracket to remain on the scope even when the dew shield is reversed, covering the rubber grip for transport. The pully is held on the EAF pinion shaft with two M3 set screws.

The William Optics RedCat 51 ZWO EAF Mount Bracket package includes:

– 3D printed EAF RedCat Bracket

– 3D printed EAF pinion pulley

– Belt

– 2x M4x16mm flat head mounting screws

– 2x M4x10mm pan head mounting screws
