As Short comments, “These are simple and practical items that I have found to be essential for amateur astronomers.” New products now available from the Buckeyestargazer Shop include:
Synscan Hand Controller Mount
The mounts provides the ability to easily mount your Orion or Sky-Watcher Synscan hand controller on your tripod. Offering a lightweight and sturdy mounting solution, the system consists of two parts: a bracket for your hand controller and one of several different tripod attachments. The Buckeyestargazer Shop also offers mount brackets for Go2Nova, NexStar, Autostar, Gemini2 and Gemini1.
Dew Shield Extension for Sharpstar 61Ed and Radian Raptor
These dew shield extensions for the Sharpstar 61ED or Radian Raptor telescopes offer a snap fit connection that will simply slide into the existing dew shield and snap in place. The inside has small baffles to reduce reflections. The extensions are available in black, red and silver.
Filter Centering Masks for Filter Wheels
New sizes have been added to the Buckeyestargazer Shop line of Filter Centering Masks for Filter Wheels. These make it easy to center your filters in a filter wheel and will block any potential light leak due to the filters being off-center in the filter disk seat. Simply place your filter in the filter wheel disk, place the Filter Centering Mask over the filter and fasten with screws. They are sold in sets of 7 or 8 depending on the filter mask size.
There are filter masks for several manufacturers including QSI wheels. Filter Masks for ZWO wheels work with any filter brand with the appropriate diameter. Filter Masks for QHY wheels vary depending on the filter thickness (2mm, 3mm or 5mm). For Filter Masks for Atik wheels, the Atik supplied O-rings must be used for 2mm thick filters.
ZWO EAF Mounting Solutions
These brackets allow you to mount a ZWO Electronic Automatic Focuser (EAF) onto your telescope. The system consists of two parts: a bracket for your telescope and a coupler that attaches the EAF onto the focuser pinion. Connections are held securely with stainless steel M3 set screws. Where necessary, bracket mounting screws are provided. The ZWO supplied M4 screws are used to attach the EAF to the bracket.
MiniPC and Raspberry Pi Mounting Solutions
Have you ever wanted to mount your Raspberry Pi, Intel NUC, Asus or Beelink miniPC to a tripod leg, Losmandy or Vixen rail, Arca-Swiss saddle or Synta dovetail shoe (or others)? Now you can with these lightweight yet sturdy mounting solutions. The system consists of two parts: a bracket for your MiniPC/Pi and one of several different attachments.
