A new afocal adapter for eyepieces has been released from OVNI Night Vision, which specializes in manufacturing night vision eyepieces intended for amateur astronomy.
The afocal adapter is compatible with OVNI Night Vision’s OVNI-M monocular and the and OVNI-B night vision binoviewer which was recently released in November, both utilizing military intensifier tube GEN3 Thin-Film White Phosphor P45. The adapter can also be used for most eyepieces.
The adapter includes the upper part for the OVNI-M / OVNI-B and the lower part for the afocal eyepiece. The lower part is available in a choice of three sizes depending on the diameter of the afocal eyepiece:
– Size A for 30 to 42mm eyepieces
– Size B for 40 to 51mm eyepieces
– Size C (for 50 to 59mm eyepieces
