Farpoint is expanding its line of Dew Shields. They are reaching out to the amateur astronomical community to request OTA sizes that customers may need.
If you want a dew shield for your OTA, you can provide Farpoint with the outside diameter of the OTA and your telescope model number. You can reach out to them here. In particular, they are looking to make dew shields for the below scopes:
– Meade ETX80
– Meade ETX 105
– Meade ETX 125
– Meade ETX LS
– Meade 6
– Orion Apex 90 Mak
– Orion Apex 102 Mak
– Orion Starseeker 102 Mak
– Orion Starseeker 150 Mak
– Orion 180 Mak
– Orion 190mm Mak-Newt
– Explore Scientific 102 Mak
– Explore Scientific 127 Mak
– Explore Scientific 152 Mak
Farpoint Dew Shields are virtually indestructible. Simply attach the flexible cover to the front of the optical tube to prevent moisture build-up on the lens. The dew shields are made with tough, flexible ABS plastic and lined with black felt to cut down the reflection and prevent sliding onto the telescope corrector plate.
