The Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i is the next evolution of the Star Adventurer tracking mount. Made with astronomy, astrophotography and time-lapse photography needs in mind, the mount is a high precision, portable and stable celestial tracking platform for sidereal, solar and lunar tracking with automatic DSLR shutter release control.
Highlights of this latest version Star Adventurer include integrated WiFi controls. The Star Adventurer has always contained preprogrammed parameters to help you create interesting time-lapse videos with your DSLR camera and it now offers 7 different tracking modes. And it continues to offer a built-in polar scope illuminator.
The Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i is offered in three different packages:
Astro Package: The Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i Astro Package includes the user-friendly, multi-function Star Adventurer 2i mount, the Polar Scope with Illuminator for precise alignment, and a Dec Bracket to allow you to attach a telescope and or camera to the mount and make adjustments in Declination.
Photo Package: The Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i Photo Package includes the Star Adventurer 2i mount, integrated Polar Scope with Illuminator and a Ball Head Adapter.
Pro Pack: The Star Adventurer 2i Pro Pack includes it all including the Dec Bracket, Ball Head Adaptor, Polar Scope with Illuminator and also a Latitude (EQ) base that can turn the normally alt-azimuth Star Adventurer 2i tracking mount into an equatorial system. Just mount it on the tripod of your choice and you will be ready to go.
To enhance the user experience owners can download the free Star Adventurer app to control all aspects of nightcap photography, time lapses, eclipse photography, and more.
