Sharpstar 94mm f/5.5 ED Triplet Apo Refractor Telescope

The Sharpstar 94EDPH is the the company’s latest telescope marketed under the Sharpstar brand offering a 94mm air-spaced triplet apo objective with two ED glass elements for excellent color correction, contrast, and image sharpness.

Sharpstar 94EDPH Sharpstar specializes in the design, manufacture and sales of medium to high-end telescopes and their peripheral supporting products. Sharpstar has been making telescopes for third party astronomy brands since the company was founded in 2000.

The scope offers a travel friendly focal ratio of f/5.5, the scope measures 468mm in length with its dew shield retracted and weighs 9.4 lbs. With a focal length of 517mm, the Sharpstar 94EDPH delivers sharp stars across a 4.0 degree X 2.6 degree field with a full-frame camera. It’s also an excellent fast-focal-ratio telescope for visual observation.

The telescope is outfitted with red CNC trim and carrying handle and a white gloss tube. It includes a premium 3” dual-speed 10:1 rack-and-pinion focuser with 58mm of travel that handles most full-frame astronomy cameras. The scope also includes a 1.25”-2” adapter for use with smaller accessories.

The optional 0.8x focal reducer/field flattener for the 94EDPH  brings this scope to a fast focal ratio of f/4.5 and a focal length of 423mm. The reducer delivers excellent image quality across a full-frame sensor with a field of view of about 4.9 x 3.2 degrees.
