SkyShed POD MAX Observatory Features Video is Stylized After Stanly Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey

Many of us grew up firmly believing that 2001: A Space Odyssey was the coolest space sci-fi movie we have ever seen. Even if you didn’t feel that way, you had to admit, the elegance that Stanly Kubrick shot the film in makes it one of the most memorable of all time.

Since the debut of the POD, SkyShed has played off the movie’s themes and content when it marketing the innovative observatory – ie “open the POD bay doors, Hal.” With the POD MAX in full production and shipping all over the world, Wayne Parker and the SkyShed team have continued that tradition by creating a video showing the features of the POD MAX in the style of the 2001: A Space Odyssey.

It’s really cool, so check it out below!

And if you’d like to find out how the SkyShed Pod phenomenon got started, check out Wayne’s commentary and insight in an expansive interview here.
